Have you seen these in Humanities? I remember when as an NQT I was given one and thought they were cutting-edge. Now with a projector in every room, they are defunct. Or are they?

Where do these go now?

After the 2004 Asian Tsunami, the College Council want to do something positive to help the people of the area. Through various fundraising, the College has sponsored the build of a new nursery in Sri Lanka through the Shiva Charity. The nursery is now open and images of the nursery and the students attending can be viewed here.

Rachel will be leading assemblies next week to discuss the new nursery and explain how our link with the them will continue in the future.

Windows Live Writer Beta 2

Just upgraded to Windows Live Writer  Beta 2 to write my blogs, which now also supports tables and now has an auto spell check, which is good for me. Sadly. Wordpress doesn’t support the update of pages. Nice layout though! :)

Thanks

Thanks to all for the kind comments and feedback on the newsletter. Wishing all staff and other readers a happy half-term.

Also welcome to Alan Parkinson, online colleague and writer of Geography and all that Jazz, who becomes the blog’s first external link. Don’t be turned off by the ‘Geography’ bit, Alan is the best web watcher I know, if it’s new, he usually knows about it, and more than often there is cross-curricular application.
