This is a breathtaking and challenging set of comments. Exactly your philosphy in my opinion.
Again the challenge for us is to juxtapose this view of learning with our reality of school. (There does need to be some honesty here, and the presenters didn’t refer to it, but we are often asked to do the job of baby sitting in school.)
I didn’t agree with the last comment ‘this is the death of education and the birth of learning,’ because the meaning of the word education is from the Latin ‘educare’ which means to draw out. I beleive that is what we are challenged to do - to draw out the best in those we teach.
